With robust safeguarding policy and upgraded facilities arrangement in place, the start of Academic Year 2024 marks the returns of all students (old and news) and all staff (old and new) back to the classroom to explore together issues affecting our own communities.
The Victoria Academy is a community-based school. Our learning approach is wholly integral to issues around us or/and someone living in a similar condition like us.
In 2024 Academic Year, the academy is also bringing new modules, including (1) An Introduction to Social Science that allows students to explore about theories and practical issues around social sciences, and (2) An Introduction to Philosophy, equipping students with critical thinking - the module starting with theory of knowledge (epistemology).
A few activities are head before actual academic learning is started, that include (1) providing orientation to new students, and (2) senior students organizing two-day long freshers welcome events leading by Student Council. New graduates, alumni, senior students and freshers are joining a fellowship on the last date of Freshers Welcome Event.
Additionally, the Academy is thrilled to be able to welcome new three full-time teaching staff, including Dr. Mai Tin, Dr. Cung Khim and Teacher Thawng Sang.
